Here is some reading on the subject...think you are chasing a problem that does not exist. First measuring to the fender is no way to check if the wheel is centered...fender can be way off. Second it is a well known fact that newer softails have 1/2 offset rear wheels.
Tom's link is pretty convincing but if you think it would help you feel like all is good, I would be willing to take my axle covers off to take more pictures and measure the spacers. I think the spacer on the rotor side came with the PM caliper though. It's been awhile since I put it on though and I have lost quite a few brain cells since then.
Tom, thanks for the link. I took off my tank, ran a string for a center line and the fender is dead center so at least i know the wheel is off, not the fender. The article you linked said modern harley come offset 8-13 mm, and maybe thats what PM did. But why was it lined up center before and why does Ash's appear to be almost dead center?
I got it all back together after taking it apart to take measurements of the spacers and hubs. Gonna see if PM might finally have an answer for me in the morning.
Ash, I appreciate it, but don't worry about it. Maybe you could measure the hubs though. Mine are 2 3/8 on the rotor side and 3 5/16 on the pulley side. Thanks
I had an issue with my renegades being off center to te right and it wouldn't clear the fender on my deuce. Ended up they installed the wrong hub in the wheel.
