Default Lighting up a Train

I have been wanting to do an LED kit around my engine and lower frame rails on my Night Train. I have seen the LED's lighting up an engine with chrome, but has anyone seen it done on a blacked out engine?

There's a guy I see at the local bike-nights that has his Train completely blacked out and is running white LED's everywhere. Looks decent all lit up. Granted, it doesn't have the same effect as LED's and chrome does but it definitely stands out in a crowd.

Thanks, I am going to try a muliti color kit from Florida Joe I think. I want to be able to change it to blue to match the bike when it's parked, and from what I read on the CSP website I can leave it lit at night if I run white. Sounds like it will just be a subtle effect on the blacked out engine which could be cool.

I have LEDs all over my Night Train and it looks good. You don't get the same effect as you would with a chromed out bike since the light doesn't reflect off of the non-chromed parts. Still looks great though, and will definitely make you more visible at night.

I say go for it. on my solid front rim that's not chrome, it still looks good. it kinda gives it a halo glow look. check out my albums to see what I'm talking about. I'm sure by the end of the day your going to get some jerkoff in here saying how lame leds are and what not.

True, everyone doesn't like them. I think it depends on the colors you use. I used white LEDs that match my HID headlight so everything flows better. It all depends on what you want the LEDs for..... To be seen at night, bling, etc. For my bike I just wanted to be seen at night and the white lights did it for me.

Good job checking it out first, I do remember in here some states don't like it when U run blue while riding..

Here in IND I have blue but our LEO's have RED/BLUE lights so all blue is not an issue.

Plus anymore I seldom ride after dark.
