Sorry bout that, got my names mixed up. As far as the ride this morning it was just me early in the morning when its still cool out. If your ever in my neck of the woods(Arlington) swing by my bar-its called Hooligans on Cooper st. right past UTA going south--

Take care,

Hey DogzHog, how many inches forward do those risers give you. I also like the stock seat but wish I could go back 3 inches, I just feel a little cramped. I checked out the tallboy, actually put it on and rode it for 30 min and it was very comfortable but kills the look completely. So now Im looking to get an inch or two from risers-forward controls-seat-and the combination of all. Any help is appreciated.

George
George, the risers eliminate the 2" pullback from the stock risers. You'd be amazed at what it will do for the comfort. I'll be updating the pics soon with a few more mods.

How much trouble was it to replace those risers. Looks to me like you have to remove a ton of stufff to get to the bolts under the triple trees.

It's fairly easy to replace the risers. You just loosen the four bolts on the upper fork (the same ones that hold the light bar and detachable windshield), remove the screw on the back of the left polished back panel of the fork nacelle, above the riding lights switch, and slide the panel out. Unplug the two wires on the back of the riding light switch, and remove the panel. On the right side panel, remove the two screws on the back of the polished panel and pull the panel out. You can also just remove the upper screw on the back of the polished panel and swivel the panel out of the way). That's it. Remove the two riser bolts and replace the factory rubber bushings with a good set of polyurethane ones (Alloy Art makes good ones, available from Dennis Kirk, as does Arlen Ness, just be sure to get ones that have chrome washers since they'll show under your risers). The whole process takes less than an hour, under half an hour once you've done it before.

Have fun and good luck!

HOLY COW, what a bike!!! I have put over 140 miles on her since I picked her up yesterday morning. I added the backrest and windshield this afternoon. Unfortunately, I am 6'4" and the top edge of the windshield is right in my line of sight. I will just have to get used to it. I used to have to wear goggle-type riding glasses, now my regular shades do the trick just fine. I can say for sure that we will put a lot more miles on this bike than the chopper.
