IMHO if Ur looking to building a BAR hopper then no... U dont need bags... if Ur building a worthy road bike, then put the Freakin bags on her... I know I am a old man who's mind is hard to change cause I've been there, done that.! But, really there are a lot more what I call kids (anyone under 50) in here that post than us older rider's (over 60 ) in here.
So IMO Ur bike looks a lot BETTER with the bags on than without them.
