Yeah I'll take some tonight. But it's just that the new boards - while not as long as the Ness boards I had before - are still too long in one place. They won't allow my foot to stay on the kickstand and bring it down past the board. It's the odd shape of these new boards.

Wish somebody would make cool floorboards that aren't honking big!

It's nice to see that it's not only the guys that are addicted to customizing there rides Lol !!
Thats a beautiful bike Peg ,probably stunning in person !!!
I would have turned her around and went to the shop that did your work if the throttle wasn't that way before the work on the motor !?

What did you end out doing to the Motor ?

I had this done a Month ago.

I finally put on 500 miles so I'm about ready to see what she's got.

I Couldn't resist when I was breaking her in and I nailed it a couple times in 2nd 3rd gear. Most Awesome I must say

Oh yeah guys, forgot to mention I didn't end up having any engine work done, just the diamond cut and he put new o-rings in. I really had to put a limit on the mods over the winter, I'm addicted and it just never ends so I had to have some self-discipline

I would have turned around and went back to the shop because of the throttle but Hubby drove me up there and was in a pissy mood and the dog was in the car with him and she was whining so I just kept going. I'll twist the litle black **** tonight and see if that snaps it back.

One thing I am ticked about is those floorboards. They didn't come with any mounting hardware and whatever bolts he put in aren't correct - the boards flop around. What I mean is, you know how you are supposed to be able to fold your boards up and they will stay? Can't do that, these boards flip up and come right back down.

I don't like that because when I got on the bike, my foot hit the right one and up it went then BANG came back down. The shop told me to bring the bike back in for an oil change after the break-in 500 miles, so I will tell him then that I don't like the boards like that.

I was just watching a video of Americade... anyone ever go to that? It looks fantastic. But I think I will go to Laconia Bike Week instead as that is a lot closer. The organized trips around lake Winnipesaukee are great.

I wonder if my bike would stand a chance up there in a bike contest - Laconia's Bike Week attracts thousands of bikes so I don't know, I've seen some fantastic bikes up there.

Well, pics of the floorboards later tonight.

Americade is a blast. We stay in a private house. Ride all day and party all night. Didn't really do the village but rode thru it a couple times. Its motorcycle heaven with lots of bikes all over the entire lake George area. Makes you feel like Heaven really does exist...lol

Bingo! Possible winner here! My GF's Deluxe was "sticking" and sure enough somehow some way that thumb screw was tight and binding the throttle return. Tempted to just remove it altogether.

Peg,can you not get a tab or bar welded on to the stand in such a manor that you can reach it and then re-chrome it? I would be nervous about bending over to do it with my hand. I would get dizzy and drop the bike on my head!

Look at your bike and I just wonder in amazement at it. If you think you have self despline, you must be able to sell bridges in NJ . You have it bad.. I can only wonder on all the money and work that has gone into it. I would be afraid to leave it anywere even with insurance, let alone drive it. However this is coming from a mechanic who does all his own work but never ever cleans it, just drives it. Do park it in a garage but it sits out all night at work rain, shine, salt and sand.
