Hi Guys
Does anyone know the part # for the Rubber Boot thingy that goes over the Rear Brake light switch shown in the pic below for a 06' Softail Standard
Ive googled and searched but can only find the Switch itself not the rubber booty
I searched my parts catalog and didn't see just a boot for that. The only boot I seen listed was for the engine temp switch. I wonder if it comes with the new switch?

The switch is listed as a kit. It comes with the switch, and two insulated connectors. No boot.
Thanks for looking NC D'Lux I really appreciate it
2010 Deluxeguy I just bought a new switch , (which i have to do Every year like freakin clock work), the switches Do Not come with the boot,
The pic is my friends 06 Standard which has this rubber boot on it (and has Never went out),
My 05 CVO Fatboy is the one that has the problem with the switches and it doesnt have any rubber boot on it so i thought maybe if i can get the boot it would insulate the switch and i wont have to replace it so often
Thanks Fisheye
Ive insulated the switch before with electrical tape, i will try the dielectric grease like you suggested,
looking at my friends (thats never failed) i thought to myself....Hmmmm... Maybe if i put one on My switch it would insulate it and i wouldnt have to keep changing it EVERY Year
I thought mine (06 Lux) had a boot when I swapped the braided line on and just went out to the garage to confirm, it does. You may check at the dealer next time your there...if you have a good parts person you may have some luck.
