Default Springer trail and rake??

I have the manual, but I'm at work.... What's the best way to measure that? I understand how to do it, but on a springer the axle and head are offset??
So I was just wondering what the deal is?

There's nothing in the manual about rake and trail ...

Found some sites from custom builders who give a decent explanation of rake and trail on springer bikes.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for:

If I remember correctly to do it manually take the angle of the neck all the way down to an imaginary line on the ground then from the center of the front wheel axle draw a line vertically to the ground the distance between both lines is your trail.. i think if not there is a website.

The rake is 32 degrees and the trail is 6.3 inches. The rake in the springer is negative to accout for rockers, so it has roughly the same trail as a telescopic fronted of the same model.

Joe has it right as far as figuring out your own trail though. The center line of the neck to the ground, and the axle perpendicular to the ground. The distance between those two lines is the trail.

Default 1997 Heritage Springer

This is my 97 Heritage Springer fully customized with a 21x3.25 front wheel, 17x3.25 rear wheel and stock rake and it rides great. I can ride 100mph with no hands and it's still a smooth ride.
