Default Black headlight options for Night Train.

Looking for a headlight for my bike, put one on it that I have grown to hate. Does anyone know if you could take the headlight off a Victory and mount it on a softail? I like the look of those headlights, but they are very expensive and not sure if they would even work. if not any have an other recomendations? Dont want to go huge like a 6" or deep tear drop style, someething smaller with a nice small visor on it maybe?

Any headlight you find regardless of color can be powdercoated.... That's what I did with mine.

Bell Powdercoat in Attleboro, Ma does some great work..

Thanks for the heads up. Only reason I was getting away from chrome was because it's a b***h to paint and I was un-aware of a good powdercoater nearby. I'll have to look them up.

Just use plasti dip over chrome it's cheap and easy to use. I will be doing that on my stock headlight soon.

I grabbed a Dyna black h/lamp off Ebay for cheap, and it looks great. A friend used the H-D l.e.d. on his, in black, and it looks/works great as well.

I'm not sold on the whole plasti-dip thing.

thats what I did to my console, flushmounts and screaming eagle heavy breather. I am going to do it to my bullet headlight soon. Only thing I dont like is how its more of a pain to keep clean since it has a rubbery texture...but $6 a can and a little of your time, can't beat that.

But it is not a permanent finish. One day after a bunch of washes you'll spray it down with the hose and half of it will peel off.

That's what I hear although others have said its been on for 3 or 4 years without an issue. I just did mine this weekend. I did it just as a test to see if I like the blacked out look before I decided to ruin all my chrome.
