Default Night Train Crash Bar

So after much deliberation I'm considering a Crash Bar for the bike. I've heard about the great protection a crash bar would bring if you lay the bike down. But after looking at my bike I was wondering if all of that protection would be nullified with the Drag Bars the Night Train comes with. Not crazy about the look but if it would save my tank and pipes I'm all in. But if the drag bars prevent the bars from doing their job......not so much.

If it puts your mind at ease, then do it. Personally, I don't like crash bars. I don't expect to ever crash my train. And, if I ever do, it will be a great time to do some much needed mods. But do what you want. Some folks think that a Windvest and bags don't belong on a train, but I have both. So, there you have it.

I have one on my rocker and like the look. It gives it an old school feel.

Will my short bars keep the Crash Bars from doing their thing? If the bike were to lay out would my tank and/or pipes still drag?

Have 1 on my train but i put it on for the reason of being able to add highway pegs and stretch out well...it has saved my bike once but the ability to toss my legs out is what sold me on it. IMO it looks ok but we all have our own ideas.

Did something stupid today, tried to park the bike without the sidestand. The crashbar saved my bike, it neatly stayed upright resting on the crashbar. It just saved me more than it cost.
