Did you double up the small spring that came with the kit along with your stock small spring?
That is what is going to give you the drop.
You want to cut the spacer flush or just above the top of the tube.

Yeah that is the same kit I have. I had put it in the original tubes and it worked out great. I didnt see any other springs in the DBI -2 downtubes, but I wasnt expecting any others in there. I did email to ask if there was any other springs in there, because that is the only explanation i had for it, but bkrider told me there is only one spring in their tubes. that would be nice if that is the case!!! Im at work and will be until probably sunday. Ill tear it apart and see if i see any other sprigs are in there when i get home. I didnt even check to see if the spacer was even with the tube, it was a pretty tight fit to get the progressive kit back in, after i cut another 1/2 inch making them 3 inches it was a little easier, and dropped it another 1/2 inch, but i bet there is quite a bit sticking out if i just set it in there. is that what you did 2d? Thanks for your response, I was waiting on you or story to chime in, your bike is freaking awesome, did you run your wires through those strip clubs yourself, and was it a bitch?
the tubes from bkrider is the same set up as stock. It does have two springs in each tube.
You need to switch the smaller damper spring to the one that came with the kit. If that is still not low enough. Then double up the springs with the kit and the stock.
I did run the wires and throttle myself.
It wasn't too bad. Patience.

The progressive kit I got said large spring, small spring, washer, spacer, washer. Nothing about the damper springs in bottom. I guess ill try adding the stock damper spring and see what happens. How short is your spacer after adding that stick spring? I'm sure ill have to cut more off of mine to get it anywhere close to flush with the top of the tubes. Just trying to prevent doing the job more that once!! Thanks for all your input 2d !!!
The stock damper spring should always be there, even with the drop in kits. The full kits add damper springs to achieve the lower ride height. If you removed it completely, then that's where your problem is.
