pococj, et. al.

I have read in a few places that you give up some horsepower with the 88B engine, the extra balances an weights and such all take power to keep a movin'...

Billthecat...a Dyna is a long way from the Wing...if you can talk her into that, you will have sweet talked her!

Go to your local Harley Dealer, and look at the Electra Glides, there easy to lower, us shorter guys can easily touch the ground, and it has all the comfort and storage capicity of the GW.

If you're going to buy new, simply have it set up for you the way you want it.

Period ... end of that story, and the beginning of a true "Love Story!"

BilltheCat,

Harley or Goldwing, no contest.

The Goldwing is probably one of the best built bikes made today, but hell that isnt a good enough reason to ride one, it just hasnt got any soul, its too satinized, it doesnt feel alive, its a two wheeled car, its just ????

Anyway seat height isnt the whole story you have to combine height with width between the knees to get the full perpective.

Ive only got a 29" inside leg, ride a Fatboy; absolutely no problems. Have many friends who are challenged in the leg length department, ladies to; they all manage well.

You just got to sweet talk your lady and make her see sence man.

My dad also rides a triked out GW so no help there. But my lady is pretty smart about what makes a guy happy.

One thing I noted is that she found out a GW depreciates until it's nothing.

Then found out the Harleys maintain and even appreciate in value when she looked at the ads for used bikes.

I asked her for a motorcycle ballcap, and she asked when she could go back to the Harley dealer!

Fatboy or Dyna Low Rider or even a Glide (I guess I am almost a geezer) I hope to sit on some bikes next weekend and get a sense for touching the ground.

Thanks all. I will let you know when I get closer to the decision!
