Rocker Rear Fender Re-do
Cut this fender longer and squared the end, I think it looks much better.
To lower the fender to the tire I shimmed the top fender mounting bolts with 3/4 inch spacers and the bottom bolts way under with 1/2 inch spacers, of course longer bolts were needed.
The gap is closer than it looks in the pictures and I have to plug the old license plate holder holes and wire up the tail lights, plus a little paint. Denim is so easy to match with spray bomb.
Pictures in next post.
I cut the fender while it was on the bike and i used an air driven cut off grinder with a 3 inch abrasive wheel. Nice part was the grinder only put a shiny edge on the cut line did not hurt the rest of the paint at all.
Time wise about 1 hour start to finish, the whole job except for the time invested in getting new bolts and spacers at the hardware store.
Click on Duluth at my profile pic the look at my posts for lowering the front end, my old fender could be just what you wanr, give you a good price.
