I found an 03 heritage classic w/ 20K miles at the local dealer and they are asking $11K. No mods but lots of chrome & mustang seat & stock pipes. The original owner traded it in on an 11 Glide . I asked about the cam chain tensioners ever being replaced. They said all the services were done here at the shop(which means no cam tensioners change to me). He fired it up and it sounds solid, no extra ticking or slapping. The dealer pulled up on the screen and showed me the service record on the bike, they even said I could get an extended warranty on the bike...Tha's a first! Times are hard I guess. Selling Extended warranties on older bikes. So I'm thinking that I get this bike, buy an extended warranty and the cam chain tensioner goes south it is going to be "normal wear & tear" and not covered.

FYI my 07 in Feb was $11k with maybe $2k in extras, 2500 mi. Lots of boom years garage candy HD's around my AO. Its a buyers market and IMHO that price is high. I bought the extended warranty for 5 yrs and if I have a problem and they say "it's NW+T" we'll have an extremely unpleasant situation.
