Default Headlight Help

What type headlight are you running on your Softail? My Deluxe still has the factory light on it and looks like it may have about a five candle power headlight and maybe ten on high beam; being facetious of course! I've read on some of the Touring posts where several guys use the Silver Star H4ST. I guess they will work on the Softail models, I know I'm getting tired of straining to see any possible hazards ahead of me.
Any help will be appreciated!

I'm running an Adjure Tri-bar with black dot. Standard bulb. I will be ordering an Osram Nightbreaker bulb on advice from the guys here in the forum. Just the tri-bar alone made a WORLD of difference. Jewel or diamond faceted (not sure what it's called) reflector and clear lens. Pretty sure you can get them in 7". Some others here swear by the new LED lights though.

I just put the Black LED light in my Night Train. The difference in illumination is incredible. You will love the LED's, and it is a easy plug and play fix.

I picked up the LED, expensive but about a thousand times better than the stocker (I think 5 candle power is being generous).

Thanks guys, but I was looking for something a little less expensive; actually a lot less expensive! I'll have to come up with another plan because the H-D LED headlight and two auxillary lights would be over $1000. There has to be something out there that's more in my price range.

The Adjure lights range from $80-$100 at J&P.

I'm running a PIAA extreme white H4 bulb in both bikes with stock bucket. Much brighter than stock bulb. Koko, the only problem using a 100 watt bulb in a stock bucket is it burns hotter than the stock bulb and will probably melt the plastic reflector. Wiring may also melt due to the extra heat generated

Just get the main light in LED. You can live without the side lights. We rode the dessert last weekend and my buddies all made me lead cause none of their lights did squat out in that pitch dark. My LED was like the sun. It's worth the $

I installed this light:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

along with the matching passing/driving lamps:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Then I added this:

http://www.comagination.com/modulator.htm

and the Harley Gods said ..... LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!

I couldn't believe how much MORE light those lamps put out over stock, all for less than 200 bucks.

The modulator just makes the headlight that much more visible in daylight.
