Looking for a new seat with backrest for my Deuce. Looking at the Vintage with backrest. Going between the Corbin and the Mustang. anyone out there have the Mustang? How is the vinyl compared to leather. Is it a nice piece of material? Does this seast keep you in about the same position as the original HD seat? Any comments good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks
Just purchased the Mustang solo set with Adjustable / Removable back rest
(Just slides out when you do not want to use it), Purchased it for support as well as comfort due to an injured back (3 herniated discs....Ouch) put it on last weekend and went for a ride January 1st.
I could not be any happier with it, it does put you forward a bit further than stock but with Beach Bars it helps.
The Material is well made, I had borrowed 1 from a buddy which he has had for a while and the comfort obviously gets better when it becomes broken in.
I havethe Mustang vintage solo with removable back rest, the Mustang passanger pad and the HD Deuce sissy bar. I normally ride solo but ever now and then my wife will want to go for a ride. It takes about 30 minutes to put the sissy bar and pillow pad on. The solo seat with the removable back rest is wonderfully. I could not do more then 45 minutes with the stock seat before my back began to hurt. With the new seat and back rest I have gone over two hour with no problems. I will get some pics up this weekend. The quality of the Mustange seat is outstanding, the vinal is top quality and to the untrained eye it looks just like leather. The seat does move you a slight bit forward from the stock seat, however, the difference is minimal. I an 6'3" with 3" forward control extension and the new seat presented no problems. Buying a new seat is difficult because you seldom get the chance to ride it before you buy it and if you don't like it you are stuck. For me the Mustang solo is a great seat. Good luck with the new seat purchase.
