Default Need fast ape advice

What's up guys. I've had apes on every bike I've ever owned except for this Night Train. I've tried to stick it out with the drags but I can't do it anymore. I already know I'm going with a set of black Burly apes, but I just sat down to order them and started second guessing myself. I was planning on going with 16's with 2 inch risers like I have on every other bike, but this is my first Softail and the frame is different from any of my Sporty's and metrics... I'm just a normal 6 foot tall dude, and I like my hands above my shoulders when I ride, but nothing crazy. Should I go 18's? Anybody out there my height that can post a picture or two of them on their 16's or 18's so I can get an idea of where I need to go? I'm ready to order now so the faster the better. Thanks guys.

Use BR's site for figurin out what ya want, it's not rocket science. Another thing is you want low risers with poly bushings. Apes look like chit with high risers.

I'm 6'1" and run 16s with 3 inch risers on my springer. If I had a glide front end I'd run 18s and use the stok risers.

Default Ape's

I'm 6' as well, run with 12" ape's with 4" riser's on a 1999 Springer, almost perfect at shoulder height. Bike is lowered 3" at the rear tho. At some point i may step up to 14" to give me the 18" look and for a little taller feel. Right now it's real comfortable. I'd go with the 16's....
