Default fork bags

I have an 07 softail custom. I have no room for anything other then whats in my pockets. I was thinking about a fork bag but i don't want to put it on my forks. I was thinking about putting it on the frame by the oil filter. Will I have problems with over heating or anything if I place it there?

I'm out in the Mojave Desert with summer temps in the 110+ degrees at times.
No problem running a tool bag down there.

I mounted mine at the bottom of the frame legs so it's below the regulator, no issues on my Evo anyway.

You might want to take a look at the LEATHERWORKS side bags. I have one on my rocker due to space limitations. It is great!!!! and made in the USA. It mounts right on the swingarm opposite side from your pipes and is well worth it. Reasonably priced also. They have one 3 inches wide and one 5 wide. I got the 5 inch wide, which give you more room and still looks great. I have had mine 3 years with no issues. Installs and de-installs in 5 minutes or less. When I go on a trip, I use this bag and 2 fork bags and it carries everything I need. I have learned to travel very light over the years and it works out nice!!! Never hauling around a bunch of stuff I don't need...like my awesome wife and daughter...They bring enough to outfit an army! Lucky they don't ride...LOL
