Its been my experience that leather fork bags start look'n narley after running in the rain a few times. I would suggest an alternative: Put the garage door opener in your dash panel, your phone in your pocket (don't want to go off and leave it on the bike), and your paperwork in a metal teardrop tool box (inside a ziplock bag). Your call.
I'm going to run with a 5" swingarm bag. I'm guessing it will acquire a nice "patina" (LOL) after a while, but this way I can carry a sweater as well, I hope.
I need to do some kind of bag on my bike as well. Just to carry small junk. My arms are fire engine red after riding 7 hours on Saturday without sun screen. Glad the pain is gone today but I still look funny today walking around like this. haha
I like having a fork bag as it is just enough room to carry my necessitates. That one in my newest pic is actually a really cheap bag I found in my apartment. My leatherworks bag is around here somewhere, I need to find it and put it on.
