when does your gas light come on

Default when does your gas light come on
my light comes on with 33 miles till empty is that normal.installed flush mount gas caps and just seems to come on allot earlier then it ever did.

and U know that because U ran out of gas...

Mine come on between .9 and 1.2 gals left. which at 45 mpg its about 40-53 miles.

When it comes on I know I have a gallon left. I think the miles till empty led says I have 30 something (maybe 36) miles left to get to a gas station but I've never tested it's accuracy

Mine comes on earlier after I installed my flush mounts, I get about 40 MPG in mixed riding & it comes on at around 110 miles.

Like has already been said, mine comes on with about 1 gallon left in the tank. Usually around 160 miles.

About 35 miles left according to display. I know that on about .5 tenths of a gallon going up mountains it hesitates, lol. Almost ran out a couple of weeks ago.

Low Fuel light on my 2010 comes on with about a half a gallon left. This is based on what it takes to fill the tank from when the light comes on. The miles left initially says mid to high 30's but these seem to be very short miles disappearing at a rather disconcerting rate.

Not sure what to expect here. I've been down to one dot on my flush mounted gas cap gauge but no 'tank' light... 'fraid to push it more than that.

mine comes on just below the 1/4 mark.. with the amount of fuel it takes on a fill its right on par with oct1949's.
