On my 2011 Fatboy Lo, I'm relocating the front signals from the bars to an auxilary light bar. I'm doing this without a service manual and the kit insctuctions aren't very clear to me.
Instructions say to cut the original signals off and cap the wires inside the bars. Then it says to plug the new lights into the harness under the tank. Does this seem right?
I do have my tank lifted at the moment but am unsure as to where this harness is located.
Has anyone done this on a 2011-2012, and maybe documented it with photos???

Reason: added information
Does anyone know if this applies to 2012 model too? Need to do a signal relocate on my wifes 2012 FB Lo. A quick look (without removing the tank) looks like an empty connector, but appears to have 8 or so flat pins instead of six. Any help appreciated.

A Buckeye Lo bro, its about time
The absolute best tool to have in your garage is the factory service manual. There are very high quality wiring diagrams in there. You can always take it a step further and get the electrical manual as well. They are by far the best money I spent on my bike. When I installed my aux light bar the dealer didn't even know if it could be done. From what I understand the wiring and the BCM are a little different on the 12 model, but exactly what these differences are I do not know. Are you looking to do a light bar or just a turn signal relocation?
If you haven't found us yet check out "Calling All Fat Boy Lo Owners" thread. If you can dream it somebody on there has tried it.....almost and everybody is very helpful
Havent got the factory manual as of yet. Hoping someone would have done this already. Just got the bike last week. Wife wants a Memphis Shades batwing put on...so I have to relocate the turn signals. Thx for the input.
