I agree. Looks great. Keep up the good work. But, then again, there are a few nice looking deluxes in this thread.

First, Bobros, sweet looking ride! I love that nostalgic look. Congrats!

Eric, regarding the nacelle and the Deluxe. I believe the Fatboy and Deluxe front ends are exactly the same. I suspect the reason the HD catalog says the nacelle won't fit the Deluxe is because of the risers. The Fatboy has a short riser that's hidden beneath the chrome cover that comes with the nacelle. Without the cover there's an oval hole in the top of the nacelle that the risers come through and it looks pretty ugly. I'm not sure what the diameter of the risers is on the Deluxe but there is a work around for folks who want to put drag bars or risers on a bike with a nacelle. There is a part available from J&P Cycles (among others) that hides the hole in the nacelle. You can find it here:
http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...4-74775ED95DDA
This part is available for both 1-1/4" bars and 1-1/2" bars. You may find that you have to clearance the part to fit your risers or come up with an alternate set of risers, depending on the diameter of your stock risers where they meet the upper tree. Or, fab you own to match your existing conditions.
I have a Fatboy with the nacelle and I plan to add a set of Carlini Slickbacks this winter so I'll likely be going this route myself. Below are some pics of my bike's nacelle with and without the riser cover to show you what I mean:
Hope this helps. Ride safe & have fun.

Ok, Frankster, you know I'd be asking, what had to be done for your nacelle setup, part numbers if you have 'em.
Thank in advance.

Your bike looks great and you've done a great job capturing the nostalgic look of the older HD's.

Blue and White - great choice!

Regards

Eric, It looks like DaFrankster changed his bars and went with a low riser (like on the Fatboy) to fit under the nacelle top cover. I guess I should have thought of this as another option...

Thanks all for the complements. I'm very happy with the outcome so far. Just need to financially lick my wounds.
