I'm thinking the races are a lot more worn then you think... Maybe the trees are tighten up on the races and not the bearing... know what I mean??? And binding... Look in to the puller/installer it good to have I think I'll buy one for myself after Ash loaned his to me.

You know the race could be setting at an angle also... Ah hell change out the races before they ruin those bearing and I'm betting you'll be good.

I did, just cause the directions said too. Even though they are pressed in, I guess there is still a chance of them rotating slightly after many many small impacts from the trees. Good luck, hopefully this solves the issue and you can get out riding!

Guys tore it all apart last night and took some pics. Let me know if you see something I don't. Yes the lower race is not dead center but John you know all about that. Anyway took some pics when it was apart. I could not get out the old races so I said f it and put it back together and will have to take it to a Indy on Monday or just list it forsale and take a break from bikes for a bit lol.

Have you tried to see how it functions with just the trees no forks on. See if the trees are rotating on the bearings or are the sitting on the neck.. This will give u a better look and feel for possible problems.

Hey Joe I actually did try that last night too. The lower tree and upper did rotate separate but I'm guessing that's cause the torque was so dam lose.

Story I tried to put the torque at 45 and I could not even turn the bars at all man.

Is there a shim between the upper bearing and the upper tree and the lower bearing and the lower tree? Have you tried to just set the bearings in the races to see how low they ride in the races?
