Default Chrome Regulator.

Just finished putting on a chrome regulator, can this be plugged in wrong ,and will i know before I have an issue .On one side pretty straight forward, two prong plug,on the other side a three prong plug, in a pyramid pattern, which can be plugged in( that I can see) three different ways depending how you spin the plug. Thanks.

The plug on my 2008 is "keyed" so it can only be plugged in correctly.
Simple plug and play.

The 3 prong plug comes from the stator, it supplies 3 phase voltage to the rectifier which rectifies it into positive and negative DC. It doesn't care what rotation the phases are in so no it doesn't matter how it gets plugged.

Lol. Sorry I work in the electrical field, but yes now worries. If it was a concern I'm certain H-D would have made it so you can't swap it around.
