One of these days I'm going to ride to the museum to see a bike like that in person. I can't get enough pics but I've only ever seen a couple of these, and they didn't look as good as this one.

I bought if off of another forum member. I believe it is a CCI part but I think V-Twin Mfg sells them also. Gives a real good ride and looks pretty much like the real deal.

LOL!

Well I intend to show it who's the boss! I am going to clean off the old glue then look for a replacement reflector. I ride my bike too much, under all manner of conditions including rainy nights! It never crossed my mind to make myself LESS visible.

Any of you guys happen to still have your reflectors (the front amber ones) that you no longer need? I'll happily take em off your hands.

I agree with what you say about true duals. The factory set-up looks and sounds better IMO. I have no intention of changing mine. You could still put long Cholo slips on the factory headers though.

As for a more nostalgic look, I think you're on the right track with WW's and taking the rear seat and backrest off. Fishtails (long cholo or not) would add to the nostalgic look as well. I have 29" fishtails on mine now, but I'm trying to decide if I want to step up to 33's or 36's. Mine are unbaffled, but I have old school "bolt and washer" baffles to provide backpressure and they did take out some of the loudness.

Looks and sounds good. I might have to look into those? Thanks for the info.

I'll take a look. I've never thrown anything away I've taken off my bike. If (a huge IF), I find them I'll send it to you.

You're the man!

I'll probably start asking around at my local service shops. Somebody has to have a set laying around they don't need.

Those old Springers were beautiful! some were plain, but the ones with 2 tone paint, and/or whitewalls are gorgeous. Here's a few more of my favorites (since this is a thread for Springer lovers!)

Had some VL Big Twin 74ci Flat Heads. But I saw the Knuckle you tried to sneak in there! I'd love to see those in person. Absolutely gorgeous.

That 1930 at the beginning was awesome! Still had the dual headlight set up. They went back to single headlight as an option in 31 or 32.

Was just puttering around in my garage this morning and ran across my old ones. PM me where you want them sent and I'll ship them out to you next week if you haven't already gotten a pair elsewhere.
