Question re: heritage springer front ends please.

'97-'03 front ends were chrome. When they came back in '05 the front ends were black. I know the rim style and hub (I think) changed but that aside can you install a later front end on the earlier springer?

And if the axle is the same you should be able to use all the same early wheel components...just bolt up and go?

 

Thanks guys, I thought it looked pretty good for a 27 year old bike. Single owner the entire time. He took care of it. We talked a lot before I could buy it. I think he wanted to make sure I would take care of it.

 

Sure is. But there is one thing about it that really sucks tho... You can never paint it

 

Sure you can Splattttt, as long as it is black They still sell the decal sets. Not cheap but they are out there.

 

But I wouldn't paint it...original paint is all the rage these days.
