Default Shotgun Shock Problem

I may be doing something wrong, But please help with any suggestions. So when i got fill up my shock i place both switches in the up position. Once both are in the up position i was under the impression the shock should begin to fill with air. This never happens, i usaually have to leave the switches in the up postion with the motorcycle running to have the compressor even begin to run. Is this normal, or am i doing it wrong? Any suggestion are appreciated.

Drop both switches right down down....then both right up (takes a while). Then start tinkering. That's what I finally trial and errored with. The pressure switch on mine is front of bike side...I tinker with that first until I get a nice fast rebound for comfort...then time to lower with the other switch.

The electric mortor should be directly wired to your battery. Sounds like it is wired through the ignition switch some how. You hold both switches in the up position to raise the bike up then bump the back switch down to lower the ride height, that was the way JD showed me how to do it. The forward switch adjusts the firmness of the shocks.
Check out the shockgun shock web site as it shows you how to perform the shock adjustment. Hope this helps.

my compressor just went out on me and i'm waiting on a replacement from jd. is your bike not raising at all when you have the both switches in the up position? here's how i checked the compressor: i disconnected the hose that connects the compressor to the shock. then i had someone flip the switches and check to see if air was being pumped out of the compressor.

It should take less than a minute to raise the bike all the way up. No need to run the engine.

Just call JD and stop wasting time waiting for everyone's opinion here. There is nobody doing better customer service in the biz today.
