so I was at a gas station filling up almost in tears because I was on my way to sell my cross bones. a friend calls to talk about a concert he had gone to the night before. he asks what i am up to i say on my way to sell my bike he asks why(i could use the money) long story short he offers to buy my bike and let me keep it(he doesn't and has never ridden) only rule is if i ever sell i have to give him proceeds whatever they are. I have never gone from so down, dark, and depressed to so hapy in such a short amount of time. Life hasn't given me too many breaks lately, this stuff just doesn't happen to me. God is good! Sorry, just had to share.
When life throws us crap, we find out who our true "friends" are. I have been through some turmoil myself the past 2 years, and many "friends" are no longer around. But the ones who stuck by me and helped me when I truly needed it, those are true friends. And come to find out, we don't need a lot of "friends", but rather just a few true friends.
Congrats man. And don't forget to buy him a beer every once and a while.
2 words describe your experiance, devine intervention and friend. never turn your back on those 2 things and they will never turn thier backs on you. I am a firm believer in that. without going into detail, a few months back I was sitting in a state trooper car, cuffed, looking at some time for sure. They called the DA to see just exactly what to charge me with, the DA told them he did not want to pursue it and to cut me loose. I was NEVER more stunnned in my life. I walked without so much as a ticket, zero, nadda, nothing!! I give thanks for that to this very day. I am but a few short years from retirement and that would have cost me my job. I still can't believe it to this very day!!!
