I used that same kit on my bike. Gave me about 1.5" drop in the rear.
Here is a before and after shot.

Kit works great! had some trouble with my fat fingers getting the 1/2 moon parts attached but once I got it ... Wow! Got rid of that "dirt bike" look of the rear fender.

Might want to crank up the pre-load on the shock. Mine is down about an 1 1/4 or so with the SE shock. Whatever the distance you loose gets you that much closer to the bump stop. My bike with 200lbs on it now hits the stop hard on a bridge entrance on the interstate were it did not beore I ran the SE shocks. Both sets of shocks where set with no pre-load for one up driver only.

Yep I was going to mention that part of the install. I de-greased the half moons real good and the shaft then used hair spray to stick the upper half to the shaft so I could get the screws in.

I got to admit, the kit looks simple. I just installed lowering bolts today. Had I not been such a cheap a$$, I might have bit on these. But with lowering bolts only costing 15 bucks delivered, they were hard to pass up. Live and learn I guess.
