So my Samson long tails wont be in for a while yet and can't mount my 40D boss bags until, they do. I Have been brainstorming on how to fix this issue and I ran across some boss bags on eBay with a lot of holes drilled in them.
I'm looking for advice on drilling new holes and reinstalling the quick release hardware so the holes are about 1.75"-2" lower on the bag, thus raising it up enough to clear the stock exhaust.
I've searched around and unless I buy a new exhaust at $600-$1000 there aren't any slip ins that will work to make these bags fit. I'd have to think that the new boss bags that fit the stock exhaust made to fit by lowering the holes since they claim to be the same size as the old ones.
What's your guys thoughts? Good or bad idea? Will I ruin my bags?
