Back from Laconia!!! Awesome except for my rocker...
I went up a week ago on Saturday and except for Wed. am rain, the weather was PERFECT!!!! I got incinerated by the sun, nice for a change! Great riding and great folks to ride with. A week of bliss - great riding, great parties, plus BEER! Then, yesterday morning...the HD gremlins arrive...the primary tensioner falls apart without ANY warning at a red light...Last year ruined due to garbage HD bearings and this year again. I think we are seeing the REAL reason people trailer their HDs to/from trips...so they know they can get home again...Don't make fun of these people, their SMART...Oh, and my rocker comes with the upgraded SE tensioner, the NEW and IMPROVED one...and that was all apart last year being fixed under warranty because of the bearing failure (ruined the belt+, over 1200 bucks damage)...it should be very interesting to see if it was put back together right...Go cross country on an HD...I don't think so. Your odds would be better in Vegas, way better.
