I have a 2012 Heritage with the stock Sissy bar. Are there any aftermarket luggage racks out there that will fit coorectly or do I have to get the one from the dealer?
Thanks
When I was in the market for a luggage rack for my bike I found several on eBay but I decided to just go with one from dealer. EBay racks will save you about 40.00 reason I went with dealer rack was I didn't want hassle if it didn't fit if purchased elsewhere. Be prepared though to remove sissy bar when you install the rack though.
The HD stuff is sometimes a little more. But our dealer gives us a 15% off all parts for life if U bought new from him and keep up Ur HOG..
I've bought in the past parts from others,, Trouble is most of the time they don't fit right and usually within 2-3 yrs they start rusting...
On the other hand I've never had a HD part that didn't fit perfect and now even after most of my add ons are 5 yrs + old.
They all still look new and work like new...
U decide if a little more $$$ is worth having to buy again in couple yrs or a part U have to mod and change it just to get them to work.
remember the old oil commercial, U can pay me now, or pay me later...
