Default Fatboy will not stay started

When I go to start my Fatboy 2001 EFI it runs for about a second and dies. Would a bad battery cause this? I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and still it acts like its not getting a spark or gas. At this point I believe the spark is being affected somehow because I have replaced everything on the fuel. I just changed out the spark plugs so my guess would be either the ignition coil or bad battery. I know the battery is bad because it will not stay charged for more than a day but could that cause a problem?

A bad battery could cause it not to stay running. My first bike, ninja 250. Had the same issue. Bought a new one and was good to go.

If you know the battery is bad then replace it. Your going to have to anyways, so it's not a waste of $$$. Just one more thing to cross off the list

Maybe a stupid suggestion...but this happened to me once...is the fuel switch in the correct position? (On - instead of reserve)
