RIPbiker13,

I don't know if you would consider this or not but I purchased a XENA XN15 Motorcycle Disc Brake Lock & Alarm for around $60.00. It's not as advanced as the other system, but it works. Just throwing it out there.

Had a couple of those for other bikes but you damn well better be sure your batteries are still good so it screams at ya. If you forget to take it off one day before riding off that could REALLY suck.

I purchased the Scorpio SR-i900 alarm with perimeter sensors. Love it!

So if you dont have a fob what is on your key ring just an ignition key? So every time you ride you have to physically put they key in and turn it to start? I thought all newer Harley's had the fob. Guess that shows how much I know.

They do make the brake caliber locks that are motion sensitive so if you move it it goes off that way you dont forget and try to drive off with it and if someone moves the bike at all it goes off.

I was thinking of something like these also. Thank you for posting. From what I can find it will arm and disarm itself like the HD system will, has a pager, and the RFID proximity alarm too. If it does all this it looks to do more than the HD system does. Considering this can also kill the electronics of the bike.

something like this would be a last ditch effort, but better than nothing. There are some with alarms, but like another just said, you it doesn't warn you and jump on and try to ride away it could very easily crash you. Some people add a "remove before flight" streamer so they won't forget.
