The one's you got look perfect to me. Once you get all the cables, grips and control housings on, it'll add more bulk and make it look right. Yes, it looks stripped down and naked right now, but it'll look better once you have it all together, trust me.

My bars are 18s, but I got the narrower bars for two reasons - better for lane splitting (legal in Japan) and for the precise reason that they flow with the forks better. I say your wife has a good eye...women usually do when it comes to style.

I think those bars are perfect! Once the levers, switches & grips are installed, they will appear "beefier". Nice choice!
One more thing comes to mind while looking at your picture...PLEASE cover your fender with a towel or similar.

bars are perfect. The base is inline with the forks which flows better in my opinion.

Although I'm partial to the Chubbies, I think the Paughco set look just fine. Bolt 'em up!

You should take those off and put them, along with the cables, in a box and ship them to me immediately!

Seriously though.....I think they look good as is. Nice choice.

Default Update.

I left for lunch and headed out to our local Indy, Departure Bike Works. They had a gorgeous set of 14" Drag Specialties Buffalo Bars in stock and on sale. So I picked them up. I appreciate all the words of advice but I just was having an issue with the Paughco's. So here's the new set, back to back with the old set. I have read all the responses, but I'm thinking the new Buffalo Bars do look better, but I am still undecided. Anyways, I thought I would post up a picture and ask for updated opinions, Thanks for everything so far.

Just for reference, the original Paughco's:

There ya go...you'll be glad you switched...

If it was a skinny front end then the original bars would have looked fine.. it's a Fat Boy after all...

Yeah, Thats why I grabbed the Buffalo bars. If I had a Dyna, Sporty or even a bare bones Softail, the Paughco's were dead on bars..... at least for my personal taste. But the wider bars are growing on me in a hurry.
