I need help .. I have an issue here I had my front 21" spoke rim rebuilt all chrome instead of stainless except for my hub.. But it got polished severely.. Anyhow when I went to reinstall the wheel I could not quite get the right side to fit firm and broke the stud... What did I do wrong that I have not figured out.. Everything was going smooth till now.. I own a 2003 Anniversary Edition Softail Nightrain..
Well, not to be a wise-***, but if it didn't seat right, I guess I would have tried to figure out why before I started cranking on those bolts. Never have any trouble with mine. they are only supposed to get torqued to about 15 ft/lbs, which isn't a lot. The manual has pretty good instructions on this.
Welcome to the Forum... from Puerto Rico! So yu wrung off a bolt on yur lowers...
This can be replaced. Is there enuff to get a hold on it with a visegrips?
If not yu gonna be drilling carefully and using an "Easyout"...
Lastly, I barely torque those babies... 10-15 lbs. I usually just snug it, but use Locktite Blue 243, Don't worry, I've done worse. Yu'll get her out and next time yu'll do better, that's how yu learn! "Never Force Nottin"...
But does it seat tight together at 10 to 15 lbs or is there a gap..I did not change the hub or axle so it should have went right back in place and I can not remember what it looked like before..
And I dont have a manual.. And I am also starting my collection of tools so I am doing what I can and trying to reach out and learn from fellow Brothers of the Ride..
