I had LED brake and signals installed along with the brake turn module. Yesterday my red security light on the speedometer came on twice. Last night when I started my bike the flashers came on by themselves and I had to disconnect the battery to get them to shut off. Today on an hour ride the red security light came on 5 times. One 2 of the occasions when it went off the green 6 on the speedometer went out and then came back on after several minutes. And yes, I was in sixth gear going about 70 on the freeway. Anyone experience this? I know it is related to the LED or the run/brake/turn module.
With all of that intermittant stuff going on, you may have some wiring gremlins. Which error codes are logged? If you don't have the codes you can get them here. I don't have the link handy but just search for error codes.
hey fatttboy,
i have an 11 lo with ABS,...i changed out my taillight with a brightass light and my turns with custom dynamics LED.....when i hit my brakes i got a light on my console.....the security light ...the led`s draw less curent ,so your bike is telling you ,you have a bulb out....brightass light since came out with an update or module to plug in to stop the light on the console.....sorry i can`t help with the 6th gear light or flashers......take it to your dealer.....good luck with that....lol
Fatboy, did you resolve your issues? I've got a 12 Fatboy too, and have a problem with my right signal light flickering and acting light there's a short. The dealer ordered something to fix it...not sure what, though. Also, when I have the console indicator to " gear and tach" mode, sometimes the gear won't be present.
my 11 lux is doing some of the same things and all my lights are stock. Thinking its the tssm is acting up see what the dealer says in a few days at least its under warranty.
