Default about stuff

I was riding home and going ALOT faster then I should have been. Speedo only goes to 120 and it was buried. Then I got a bad case of the death wobbles. I was able to keep it until control while braking. Wobbling all the way down to sixty miles an hour. I didn't understand why. This wasn't the first time I have gone that fast and I would have thought I would have come out of it sooner as i slowed down. Well turns out that section of the road had a a stretch that had a bunch of bumps and dips about a half mile long do to the heat. I found this out when i went over it again with the truck and it about trough me in the ditch.

So all this said I am just giving a warning to be careful out there this heat is hell on the roads.

Wait until it is cooler to go at death defying speeds? In all seriousness I'm glad you're all okay

Ummmm, that the speed limit on an interstate is typically between 55 and 75MPH depending on what state you are in.Or possibly that only crotch rockets doing a wheelie on the interstate should do triple digits....

Had a Sportster years ago that would get a wobble at 85 and it wouldn't quit until 50 coming back down. I'd just had a new 16" rear wheel/tire laced in placed of the original 18". Had to play with tire pressures until it went away. It was tough being the 'test dummy'.

Why in the hell would you want to go a 120 plus miles per hour on a Harley? get a death wobble then brag about it.... Might want to take a hard look in the mirror & thank your lucky stars...Not really the brightest thought process used here..

Ride Safe All,
Bill G

yeah sorry. Really wasn't trying to brag. Just trying to warn people of the roads and what the heat is doing to them.
