Thanks everyone..I'm going to to completely drain the fluid (again), compress the pistons, then reverse fill...do I have to remove the pads to get the pistons back into place?

Remove the two pins in the caliper, that hold them in. Beware you may have to do it a few times.

I changed the fluid in front and back using the mityvac vacuum Pump and I was done in less than 30 minutes.

Just get some Speedbleeders. You bleed your brakes in approx 15 minutes. That's both front and back. There amazing for bleeding brakes. And there very cheap. I used to use the Mity Vac which works well but I found that the Speedbleeders are a lot quicker and no tools to clean up. Good luck...

Just an update...

First off thanks for all the help.

I pulled the caliper off and one of the pistons were stuck. I freed it up my holding one in and actuating the brake lever, then cleaned them, seated them, and re-bled the fluid. Brake is fine now.

Another thing I came across is that you should never use a mighty vac or any vacuum pump w/ DOT 5 has it created too much air in just by disturbing it. It should only be done by pushing the fluid.

Glad to hear you got it all sorted out.

FWIW, I've been using my MityVac with DOT4 and DOT5 without issue.

I did find this helpful last time I used it though: I ziptied the brakelever to the handlebar, and used the vacuum. It was so much quicker than leaving the lever in the return position.

I also use a combination of both processes. Vacuum to draw the fluid to the caliper, then the old pump and release method with two people. Works like a charm.
