Question Running light in brake light not working

2005 fatboy, been doing a bunch of work on it this winter. handlebars internally wired.

today the front brake switch was not working, took off the brake lever and fixed that, but the running light in the rear brake light is not working. Could it be the bulb? Any advice is appreciated. thanks

Bulb is a simple 2 filament one. Easy to check, cheap to replace.

If not that, check wiring from rear light to the plug under the seat.

If I remember correctly the blue one is the rear running light.

Check the fuses. The running light of the tail light and the brake light are on different fuses. You could have popped one, and not the other.

Couldn't find a separate fuse, used my test light, it's the bulb! Thanks for the info
