Default Belt Drive problems

I'm real pissed guys, nothing seems to go smoothly,
Had my my belt drive fitted today, a BDL Evo8s, fitter phoned me later and said better come and look, First off this thing looks fantastic at least 5 times better than I was expecting, I'd bought some Harley Goodies floorboard extensions in case my boards wouldnt fit, neednt have bothered theres loads of clearance.
Problem seems to be with the front pulley not being right, as in the outside not being concentric with the spline hole, belt alignment is spot on running right in the middle, but when you put a socket on the crank to turn it, at one point the belt feels like perfect tension, but round the other side about 180 deg its looser, even easier to see when you start it and you can see the pulley running out, I suppose the most likely explaination is that the hole is not bang in the centre of the pulley.
I've Emailed BDL, no answer yet so I phoned them and got their answer phone, telling me that they dont work fri, sat, sun, not happy folks
Anyone had or heard of anything similar?

The pulley is bolted to an "adapter" of sorts so the same pulley can work for many offsets/applications...are you sure those two pieces are bolted together correctly? BDL stuff is usually top notch.

Unhappy

Update on this
I sopke to my my mechanic today as I'm still waiting for BDL to get back to me.
Seems its not going right for me, he's taken the pulley off and given it to an engineer friend of his to determine whether it was faulty, result is that there's nothing wrong with it, so it looks like my crank is not right, he says that he doesnt think its been apart since new and that its quite possible there are thousands just like it, as its inside the primary casing and you wouldnt know unless you take it apart, this is not the definitve answer as I am waiting for BDL's opinion but dont see what else it could be.
He has said to me that it was him he wouldnt leave it on, so it might be coming off again. I'm real down about it

I am with Tom on this one. Something sounds off. Those spline inserts are a tight fit with three dowel pins that must be pressed in. Then three bolts on top of that. I also find it hard to believe that your crank is off on the motor. BDL's stuff is spot on. If it was installed correctly I would talk to them about a replacement insert or maybe a new pulley and insert.

One more thing if you have the wrong insert then you could have splines showing when you put the pulley on. Then when you go to tighten the motor nut you will get a false tighten (if that makes sense). Basically this would mean you are not pressing the pulley up against the rotor like you are supposed to leading to a wobble. I have seen this before and if you have the wrong insert BDL should hook you up. If that is the case you would need a longer insert. Just something to check. Also if it is the splines and it is only off by a fraction then space it out. There should have been a spacer behind the pulley anyway. Just keep an eye on the alignment and belt tracking.
