My buddy is in the process of building his vicla its an 05 Deluxe. Shotgun shock coming and fish tail duals. He did the 80 spokes, chrome lower legs and apes this past winter. I love the look, just not for me as they handle like crap.
I think there are a number basic changes a person can make to their bike that lends to the "Style"":
Apes or beach bars
Fishtail Pipes
Slammed or Bagged Rear Suspension
Whitewalls
21"front wheel
Swapping out non-chrome to chrome
Then there are a number of more custom changes people make:
Custom paint
Extended fenders
Front Air ride
Engraving
Neons
Custom leather
Diamond Cut Heads
But you don't necesarity have to tick every box to "Qualify" the style either.
Make it your own, thats the fun part. Build it small, ride it big!
I've thoproughly enjoyed doing mine, I've met a solid group of guys who share the same interest in style of bike. Mine is nowhere near 'done' but its a rider, I want to start a new project that is a little more showy.
