A few mods
I am doing my mods in the slow mode cause I pay cash. When I got the bike it has iso grips and windshield.
I have created a list if mods. that I plan to do in the next few months and some major stuff over the winter. At first I was going to get a bunch of stuff and do all the mods are once but hard for me to keep stuff sitting around.
So about a month ago I picked up Kuryakyn rear tombstone and signal LEDs. A quick easy install that only took about 15 minutes. After getting them installed I really like they look so I ordered the front LED turn signals to match. So I got them a few weeks ago and installed them last weekend. They look great and bright. Now I am considering to get the HD LED head and passing light. But I am going to save up some cash since it will be close to $900 if I get it from HD.
I ordered a classic horn and braided steel fuel line. They came in last week so I ran by HD stealer and picked them up last Friday. I tried to stall the horn on Friday but after mounting the horn and plugging in the wires it looked good but when I pressed the horn button nothing happened. Using a test light everything seemed fine. Took off the horn and tried to hook the horn directly to a battery and still didn’t work. So I returned it on Saturday to the HD dealer and they ordered me another.
Since I had just filled the tank I figured I would just add the SS fuel line to my tobe installed later box. But then I read the service manual and that it could be done w/o having to drain the tank. Just pull the fuel pump fuse start bike until it runs out of gas and the line will be depressurize. Remove the horn to gain access to the end of fuel line. Release the quick connect of both end to remove the stock fuel line and then pop on the new braided SS fuel line. Be sure to make sure both ends at connected correctly so there are no fuel leaks. (learn from my mistake).
I really like the look for the braided SS fuel line but not plug wires look bad. So have to find replacements. But might wait until/if I relocated the coil. Just a few minutes ago while flipping thru the HD website I saw that they have a breaded SS crossover fuel line so I guess I will have to order one of those now.
I also added bullet ends to grips, but don’t have photos. Have a S&S air filter to be added later when I add pipes and tuner this winter. I am trying to figure what to do next. I have several other things I will be adding, flush fuel caps, gauge/tank console, seat, round oil tank, etc. But most of those things will be done during the winter.

I feel the same way about mods. Slow but steady - all paid for in full - BUT
The biggest problem I've had in the past (for now anyhow) is having the time to install them! I accumulated a few mods last summer/fall and never got around to installing them until late winter. They sat on my shelves over my desk in my den for months, BECAUSE I WAS TO BUSY RIDING IN MY SPARE TIME! When the weather FINALLY got just to darn crappy to ride, I took the bike apart and installed the latest round of mods.
Your bike's looking good! Keep at it and don't pass up a chance to ride vs. working on it! Saying that most things will be done over the winter only works if winter closes in on you! Sort of a two edged sword! Have fun and keep us posted WITH pics when you get a chance!

I will probably go to Lone Star Rally for the day if my buddy will let me park my bike at his shop. I am not a fan of large groups but figured that I could handle a few hours.
Got a working Classic Horn on Friday so I installed it this weekend. I really like the way it looks. But will probably be moving it when I come up a plan to relocate the coil.
