Clutch problem...or no?
A couple weeks ago I adjusted my clutch cable and changed my trans and primary fluids to Redline. The clutch engages and disengages better in relation to the grip, I can get into neutral easily (couldn't before with the bike running) and I'm pretty sure I got the primary level right.
BUT...sometimes when I come up to a stop, I pull the clutch in and tap the shifter down while in first to double check that I am in fact in first. The shifter usually has nowhere to go...you know, it won't budge when you push down while in first, but yesterday as I coasted up to a stop light, it did budge and it made a grinding noise. I had a WTF? moment and did it again and it made that horrific sound again. I'm not sure if it's something I did when I made the changes or if it was because I was coasting or maybe something wasn't lined up right at that moment or just a matter of "don't do that from first anymore".
Shifting seemed otherwise OK yesterday, but I wouldn't say it was smooth and silky. Is this crazy paranoia or does anyone know what I'm talking about?
