07 lowering kit and shock stiffening

I am putting a lowering kit on my softail standard and before I reinstall the shocks I'd like to stiffen them a tadbit. Will half a turn stiffen them up a little, or will I even notice a half turn. At 170 pounds I don't need much, frankly I like the current ride, but I am dropping it about 1.5 inches, and I don't want to hit the bump stops all the time. I'd like just a touch more stiffness.

Danny, I put the lowering kit on my bike and didn't adjust the shocks at all. I'm about the same weight as you,and the ride is about the same. The only time you'll really feel a differance is when you ride two up.
