i have a 04 softail deuce. one day it started sputtering and dying. i replaced the air cleaner and ran injector cleaner in it and it didnt help. it will only sputter out when i first start riding (in the first couple miles) and sometimes die. after i start it back up it will run at very high rpm for about 30 sec then go back down to normal. so i will start riding again and it will run fine for miles and miles. untill i shut it down and let it sit for quite awhile.then the same process starts all over. sorry about my way of explaining it im not very good at it. thanks for everyones time

 

I don't know about HD injection but sounds like a temp sensor. It's not enriching the cold mixture an once it's up to op temp it's ok.
