Default softail problems

I just pick up this 2001 FXSTI. It runs fine the first start and ride of the day. but let me shut her down for 30 minutes and start her back it will spit back thru the cleaner and stumble for around 5 miles than will smooth out and run fine until I shut it down again. It seems like the cooler the engine gets the longer it takes to smooth out one you start it back except for when it sits all night and the first start of the day than it will run fine. until I shut it down. I know this sounds kind of crazy but this is what it it does.I change plugs. check and grease every electrical connection there is. I'm thinking maybe air temp sensor or engine temp sensor. what do you guys think? I appreciate your help

i don't know a damn thing but does it have carb sounds like it is pumping or leaking fuel in through the carb flooding it out. When you let it sit over night the gas evaporates but if you try to start it up shortly after running it its flooded out?!?!?

Ride it to the dealer and have them put it on the scanalyzer.

Spray some throttle body cleaner in your IAC.

My 02 does that, I think it is a vacuum leak either the intake or carb boot. I have the new gaskets and am waiting for the intake alignment tool.

My 94 carbed softy dose that too. Once it cools down alittle, it's like restarting a cold engine. I have to go threw the warm-up process again.
