Default Last Night as a Heritage Owner

I am both happy and sad, but I guess tomorrow I will trade my 2010 Heritage for a 2009 Ultra Classic. The Softail has been a great ride, and all you guys have been great on here. Who knows after sleeping on it tonight I may wake up and decide not to go through with it.

Heritage great on short rides and good for cross country. Ultra great on long rides and ok for the short stuff. Either way you'll have a hard time wiping the grin off your face.

Ultras are nice for sure. I'm in the camp that we all need 2 bikes, one for long comfortable rides and one for your short LOUD local trips.

I'm tempted to say " Don't Do It " but maybe it will be different for you. I've owned both and have a 2010 Heritage now and the Heritage will do the same things without all of the bulk. If all you are doing is tripping , then the Ultra might suit you but if you do both long hauls but mostly local riding, you will probably regret trading.

Don't worry, when you pick up another softail sometime in the future we'll welcome you back.

I had a 2009 Street Glide and traded it for a 2010 Heritage. Two much top end noise, radio sucked unless you upgraded the speakers and added a amplier to hear it over the wind noise, and not as comfortable ride as a softail. But hey, we all have different tastes...

You have places to go and stuff to see, the Ultra makes sense. The day may come you will not be riding as far for extended periods. So get what you want.

Thanks for all the input and help over the past two years. I pulled the trigger now on a 2009 UC in black pearl. The Heritage was a great bike and I would recommend it to anyone interested.
