Pretty much narrowed my choice of Batwing down to 2 options,
But before I order it I wondered if I could get some help on which Stretched hard saddlebags will work on a Deluxe with Samson 39'' Cholo's
preferrable with lids and latches.
Im in the process of doing ext bags on my Lux. basically any bagger bags will fit the softail with the proper bracket. I ordered this one from much positive feedback from others on this forum who have used it .
LA Baggers was my 2nd choice, but their bags are fiberglass, and the sinister bags are poly. Also LA Baggers didnt seem too keen on helping me out, they never even got back to me for a quote on shipping. Its too bad, they seem to build some nice stuff, but I can't stand poor service.
I ordered Ness latch hardware for the bags. far cheaper than harleys, or even sinisters latch kit. Just need to add a locks.
I decided to run factory HD lids. but there are many other styles out there, they pretty much all made to fit. everything is based off the stardard FL style bag. (93+)
Good Luck with your build

Watch the back corner of your NEW bags...my buddy just put his on 2 weeks ago, all nice and painted...I mentioned to him that some folks on the forum are hitting the corners and damaging them...he hit his already...he put some metal plates on the corners. Love your bike. Ride safe.
I assume that most folks with Samson duals line up perfect? Myself, still had bend one bracket to cheat the eye. After pipes were installed, there was at least 1" difference between pipes and wheel. Therefore not centered. With stretched bags...it still might be a batch trying to line up into the holes. Anyways, something to consider.
