I just installed a set of Khrome Werks Slip On Mufflers. Heres a video and sound clip I did. The first part is the stock mufflers with the baffle plug punched out. The second part is the Khrome Werks mufflers. Much deeper sound, louder but not obnoxious, simple to swap on. For those with no patience.....40 seconds in and 1:58 seconds is the two exact comparison times.
I've had my 2012 Fatboy now for a few months and want to upgrade the exhaust. I've read a lot posts on here and other sites but haven't found what I am looking for yet. So I thought I would just ask.
I'm looking for a set up pipes that look good and sound great, I don't want something that will deafen me, but something that will give me that Harley roar I hear about. So where can I find a great sounding set of pipes that the people next door want kill me for? I would prefer slips on.
I've looked at a bunch of different sites, but I can't really tell what will just be loud and what we sound great.
Thanks Griff
Griff,
Can't help with slip-ons. Can't help with non-deafening. But for pipes that I think look great, I like the Big Radius. Think they just look right on the bike. People here on the forum will tell you everyone has them. Not in my neck of the woods. Harley roar - I think so.
Hey Griff.. Dude. Your probably gonna get about a gazillion different answers on this one. Most really like their own exhausts on here and if they don't, they are in the process of changing the pipes now.
Best thing to do is go to a few different local bike nights and shows, kick back with a beer, and just listen to the sweet melodies of each ryde that rolls by. Then make your decision..
