Hello to group. I am new here so be gentle with me. Just got off of a Goldwing I rode for the last 6 years and came back to Harley. I picked up an '09 Softail Heritage Classic. Not my first HD, the two I had previously were both FLHP's.
On to the question. The only thing I kept from the Goldwing was my Kisan Tailblazer. I love them...anything to be seen after having been rear ended by a distracted lawyer.
I have the type that is about half the size of a match box and splices into the brake wire not the bulb type. My question is, where is the best place to do the splice on a Softail? On the GW it was done under the seat. I noticed in the HD owners manual that I might be able to put it behind the tail light assembly. Thoughts?
Also, is the mod to make the rear turn signals into running / brake lights worth the effort?
Has anyone installed one of these on a Softail? Can someone tell me if there is a harness connector under the seat that the tail light runs through? Color?
I couldn't tell you whether or not it would/will work but you could give them a call.
They are out of Colorado Springs.
I put one of their path blazers(modulators) on my headlight, and called them for clarification.
It works well.
